Longbush Wines 2016 VIOGNIER

| /

Loud and proud the Tui has a great talent for song. Melodic and with rich harmonies this Viognier has been made for music lovers that enjoy great wine.

7km from Gisborne, on the banks of the Waimata river, the Longbush Eco-Sanctury is restoration project that will create a haven for endangered birds and plants. Anne and Jeremy Salmond, with the support of many friends and family, have embarked on this intrepid journey. Visit and support them at www.longbushreserve.org.

This single vineyard Viognier was grown on the famed Golden Slopes of Hexton in Gisborne. The ripe fruit was hand picked and whole bunch pressed, then fermented in mature French barriques with post-fermentation batting. The wine displays elevated fruit notes with bright, lively and well defined flavours. On the palate this Viognier shows hints of spice typical of the variety, creamy complexity and a soft citrus finish.
