The combination of Gisborne’s cool maritime climate and the warmth and richness of it’s alluvial soils are the key ingredients of this premium Chardonnay. Golden hues lead to peach and buttered brioche, vanilla and smoky wood tones. Full bodied, with layers of interest and medium acidity.

Mendoza Chardonnay Fruit sourced from Kawatiri Vineyard, Hexton Gisborne.

Hand picked and bunched pressed 22.5 Brix at harvest Fermented in 30% new French oak barrels, 30% in one year old oak barrels and the remainder older barrels.

Weekly battonage for 10 months 50% malolactic fermentation in spring Bottled with minimal fining and filtration
